Back in mid-August we started gathering together all those little scraps of paper, business cards and post-it notes, piling them up on the workroom table next to the abandoned pizza boxes and empty growlers, then gradually collating these often illegible scrawlings into seaworthiness for F&D’s “Comings and Goings” report in the Fall print edition, and when the issue hit the streets, only THEN did I see that Paradise American Indian Cuisine had closed up shop in Middletown.

So it goes.

Michael L. Jones caught the story earlier in September at Louisville Business First, although in all honesty Robin Garr’s Louisville Restaurants Forum appears to have scooped everyone in August, just following the restaurant’s demise.

Take it away, Michael.

Paradise American Indian Cuisine closes after less than a year in business

A Middletown restaurant specializing in both India and U.S. cuisine closed after less than a year in business. Paradise American Indian Cuisine, at 12951 Shelbyville Road at Middletown Station, closed its doors permanently in August, according to Tommy Edwards, principal at Hagan Properties.

We’ll file this in the cigar box and revise listings for the Winter edition. There may need to be pizza and beer reinforcements.
