If you’re in Brussels this summer, and seek a novel way of spending €295 for dinner and €150 for cocktails (that’s $311 and $158, respectively), consider being hoisted.
Dinner in the sky: Pop-up aerial restaurant returns to Brussels, by Sarah Crew (The Bulletin)
The breath-taking gastronomic experience Dinner in the Sky returns to the Belgian capital this summer. From 10 to 19 June a crane will be hoisting diners above the landmark Koekelberg Basilica for a panoramic view of the city skyline.
A five-course dinner by a bevy of Michelin-starred chefs will be served three times a day (12.00, 19.00 and 21.30), while a Cocktails in the Sky session is offered on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Dinner in the Sky‘s website has the details (and garners today’s cover photo credit), along with numerous images guaranteed to send the heights-queasy among us straight to the liquor cabinet, but doesn’t the loftiness of this gustatory venture beg a vital question?
