B-Side is the event space upstairs at Decade, the new restaurant at 1076 E. Washington Street, as brought to Butchertown by several veterans of the now-closed Decca.*

However, one might say that B-Side isn’t a simple space at all. It might even be variegated. As explained in a handy information release:

B-Side is a flexible venue above Decade for private dinners and parties, wedding receptions, live music, art shows, film, business meetings, and more. The 1800-sq-ft second floor space is divided into a private dining room + a large bar space with a stage for music.

The interior is gorgeous any way you divide it. According to the release, “the (Decade) team has just decided to open up B-Side as a bar on Thursdays thru Sundays, beginning this Thursday, 7/27.”

It isn’t clear whether the bar will be open when events are taking place, but give them time to implement procedures. It’s early yet.

* Translated into Louavulese, it’s where Butchertown Grocery and Blind Pig used to be.
