The Spring 2023 issue of Food & Dining Magazine is now available in all the familiar places: Louisville area eateries and food shops, newsstands and online.

Seafood Heaven, which does double duty as a seafood market (also with grocery basics) and takeout seafood restaurant (without on-premise dining), is open at 600 E. Broadway in Smoketown.

Interestingly amid Lent’s local focus on fried fish, co-owner Mohammad Abughoush tells LBF reporter Michael L Jones that Seafood Heaven is seeking to set itself apart by stressing healthier food preparations.

Seafood Heaven offers healthy food options in Smoketown (at Louisville Business First)

“For now, we don’t have fried food, everything is steamed or baked. It is a more healthy option. There is a lot of fried food around this area. We’re trying to give them more options. Every meal comes with vegetables like broccoli, corn and potatoes.”

Seafood Heaven offers a variety of fish, shrimp, crab legs, clams, scallops, mussels and crawfish.

Google has Seafood Heaven’s hours of operation, although as yet there does not appear to be a web site or social media page for the establishment.
