It’s been so long since The Hub’s neighborhood swap was “coming soon” that it’s high time to revisit it, as zero hour seems to be approaching.

The Hub Louisville, moving Somewhere/Nowhere (in the Highlands)

The pre-holidaze Hub update comes to us from LEO Weekly’s Erica Rucker.

The Hub Louisville is moving to the site of the old Nowhere Bar. Currently located at 2235 Frankfort Ave., the restaurant, nightclub venue is relocating in what it feels is a new and improved location at 1133 Bardstown Rd.

The location offers The Hub a chance to explore a new design inspired by “ the industrial-chic, warehouse-style nightclubs of Berlin and Brooklyn.”

Somehow I doubt this means there’ll be Berliner Weisse beer served at the reconstituted Hub, but let’s push forward.

There will be a new nonalcoholic/mocktail menu that The Hub is calling the largest of any nightclub in Louisville, catering to a growing sober community. The venue says it will also maintain a high level of security and safety in hopes to allay fears about events that took place at Nowhere Bar.

Rucker reveals that The Hub’s new Highlands rollout will occur in two phases, with the nightclub debuting on Dec. 13, and an “intimate and stylish music video” venue called Pink Lounge coming later at an undisclosed date.

And, given the edibles and potables dichotomy, I did find a reference to food at the web site in the context of special events: “We also have special relationships with catering partners to provide food for your guests.” When I was a lad we’d pack sardine sandwiches to the dance floor, although times may have changed.

The Hub’s social media portals have not been updated recently, suggesting that there’ll be a fresh media campaign coming when the rollout hits critical mass.
