Bear with me, please.
So I’ve been thinking about organizing a write-in campaign to get Three Dog Night into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and this post caught my eye for obvious reasons.
I did a draft in January, set it aside, and went onto other more pressing topics; after all, we’re a feline kind of family, but of course the canines of the world deserve to have their cakes and eat them, too.
The text:
WE’RE MOVING, and we hope you’ll move with us.
After 25 years in the same “spot,” we’re moving our dog house from Chenoweth Square to nearby Westport Village. We’ll have more to share in the days ahead, but please know we’re excited not only about our relocation, but also a fresh, pupdated look for the bakery as well as new products and services! (Many customers already have told us Westport Village will be more convenient for them.) Tomorrow, Dec. 27, will be our final day of operation at Chenoweth Square. Come see us and take advantage of 1/2 off all remaining howliday, including treats! We hope to reopen in our new location sometime in February, so please watch for more info here on our Facebook page. We’re sorry, we won’t be able to accept cake orders until our February reopening. Thank you, sincerely, for your past and continuing support! Steve & Shelby
As of February 13, the buildout was still underway, and owing to my vacation, this news update was pre-scheduled. Your best bet is to keep following Three Dog Bakery’s Facebook page for further updates. For more, visit Three Dog Bakery corporate page.
And with that, ladies and gentlemen, enjoy Three Dog Night’s (the band) rendition of “The Family of Man,” written by Paul Williams and Jack Conrad.
And: The RRHoF probably shuns Three Dog Night because the group didn’t write its own music, but have these people ever once considered that honoring the band would also shine a light on the fine songs crafted by the many great songwriters they covered?
