Saturday, Oct. 28, from 3-6 p.m., Ballotin Chocolate Whiskey is sponsoring a special chocolate tasting event in Louisville and Lexington at the Springhurst Liquor Barn, 4301 Town Center Drive, and the Hamburg Liquor Barn in Lexington. Ballotin has invited West 6th Brewing, Old 502 Winery, Rabbit Hole Distilling, Cellar Door Chocolates, Hi-Five Doughnuts, Steel City Pops, Chateau Bourbon and Bourbon Women to showcase the many ways chocolate influences, flavors, and defines some favorite local products and brands.
Called the “Ballotin Chocolate Whiskey and Chocolate Loving Friends,” the events will include tastings, demonstrations, and education in two Liquor Barn stores throughout the day. Donations to Apron Inc will be gladly accepted at both participating Liquor Barn locations.
Proceeds of the events will benefit APRON Inc. Apron Inc., a local, non-profit organization that provides a much-needed financial safety net to service industry professionals who find themselves in a vulnerable spot. APRON helps restaurant and bar workers stressed by unexpected medical costs and other financial needs.
