F&D’s Entertaining Editors-at-Large are Lori and Tim Laird. Tim is known as America’s CEO (Chief Entertaining Officer ) for Brown-Forman (now retired), and Lori is an executive recruiter for the automotive industry. The couple travels globally to teach others how to entertain at home. Tim makes hundreds of appearances a year on radio and television programs and has been on The Today Show, The CBS Early Show, The Tonight Show, ABC World News Now, and Good Morning America, to name a few.
The Lairds have published three highly acclaimed books, which are the topic of their column in the current issue.
In 2008, when we started writing for Food & Dining, we had not yet authored any of our three cookbooks. It was our F&D column that inspired our first book, That’s Entertaining! with America’s CEO—Chief Entertaining Officer. From the beginning our columns were called “Easy Entertaining,” and our recipes are just that: easy. Our mission here and in our books is to eliminate all the anxiety assciated with entertaining and that you, the host or hostess, have as much fun as your guests.
