As a preface, here at Food & Dining Magazine we help spread the word about APRON Inc. as often as possible.
APRON Inc. was created in 2011 to help provide financial relief to food and beverage industry workers in the Louisville, Kentucky metropolitan area who find themselves in need during times of crises. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, APRON Inc. has stepped up with a far greater volume of assistance to local workers than ever before, paying out close to $480,000 in grants to more than 727 employees from over 180 restaurants in the past three years alone.
“We are immensely proud of the help we were able to give back to our community, and are humbled beyond words at the immense community, corporate, and foundation support we received throughout the past few years.”
On Sunday, October 8 APRON Inc. honors its 12th birthday with the 10-Taste Salute Gala, an event to be held at The Café (731 Brent Street) in Paristown. The fundraiser celebrates the life, times, and cooking of the late, great chef Dean “Deano” Corbett, who wrote the first check in support of APRON Inc. 12 years ago.
