Writing at Louisville Business First, Haley Cawthon has the story of Blak Koffee’s new location in West Louisville, which should be open later this month.

Blak Koffee opening second location in Goodwill’s Opportunity Center

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky announced Tuesday that Blak Koffee will be opening a new location inside the nonprofit’s West Louisville Opportunity Center at 2820 W. Broadway, which is set to open its doors March 20.

Blak Koffee opened its first location at 1219 W. Jefferson St. in Molo Village last spring, Louisville Business First reported then. Owners Kevin and Ronyale Smith built their business with an emphasis on diversity, community, quality and economic empowerment, which aligns with the plans and intentions of Goodwill’s West Louisville Opportunity Center, according to a news release.

The new Goodwill center is one feature of a 20-acre brownfield redevelopment project that includes Norton West Louisville Hospital; according to Cawthon, “the first hospital in the West End in more than a century.”
