The Summer 2023 issue of Food & Dining Magazine — our 20th Anniversary issue — is now available in all the familiar places: Louisville area eateries and food shops, newsstands and online.
Let’s begin by calibrating our definitions, with Wikipedia explaining Veganism.
Veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of animal product—particularly in diet—and an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of animals. An individual who follows the diet or philosophy is known as a vegan. Distinctions may be made between several categories of veganism.
An immersive course in vegan cuisine is visible just over the horizon.
Bluegrass VegFest (and at Facebook) returns to the historic Mellwood Art Center, just minutes from downtown Louisville, on Saturday, July 15th, 2023! Here’s your opportunity to check out an exciting array of 100% plant-based/vegan cuisine and products in the rapidly expanding world of plant-based eating and vegan living.
The festival attracts thousands of attendees who are passionate about food, health, the planet, animals, and socially/eco-conscious companies. Featuring restaurants serving up 100% plant-based food, fabulous food trucks, local craft beer, renowned speakers, cooking demos, commercial & non-profit exhibitors, educational exhibits, kids’ zone and more! ADMISSION IS FREE 12 – 6pm.
Admission is free because Bluegrass VegFest is a “pay as you go” event with regard to vendors, but for those desiring a less cluttered atmosphere, a limited number VIP tickets are currently available, which get you inside at 11:00 a.m. for an hour of roaming.
