Tuesday, August 9, at 6:30 p.m. the Downtown Bristol Bar & Grille, 614 W. Main St., will offer a four-course dinner paired with rosé wines chosen by Bristol’s resident Master Sommelier Scott Harper and certified sommelier Rickey Wethington. Both will be at the dinner to guide guests through the tasting notes of four of their favorite rosé selections paired with French-inspired dishes.
The dinner menu will include mussels provençal paired with a Loire Valley rosé brut; an heirloom tomato salad with burrata and balsamic reduction, served with a Côtes de Provence 2015 Rosé Sables d’Azur; a main course of grilled swordfish niçoise with quinoa, paired with a 2015 Rosé de la Chevalière Domaine Laroche, Vin de Pays d’Oc; and a very French finish to the meal, a trio of local cheeses with fresh and dried fruits, nuts and crackers, served with another rosé from Provence, a 2015 Rosé Château Castel des Maures.
Throughout August, all Bristol locations will have special rosé wine selections, the refreshing summer wine choice in France.
Cost of the dinner and wine pairings is $60 per person. Call Bristol downtown at (502)582-1995.
