Citizen 7, an upscale taco joint, is slated to open next week at 10715 Meeting St. in Norton Commons. Allen Rosenberg is the consulting chef who helped devise the pan-Caribbean menu, which will offer fusion cuisine influenced by Mexico, South America and the West Indies. The restaurant will have a full bar, and will tout their margarita selections.
A recent post in Insider Louisville cited one proposed dish, a duck confit taco with cinnamon-pineapple salsa, among other ingredients. Citizen 7’s head chef will be Kyle Schwan, most recently executive chef at O’Shea’s Public House.
Citizen 7’s opening was postponed until the new year because of the inevitable problem involved with renovating a space and getting all the details aligned. The current opening date is scheduled for Jan. 15, barring any last-minute snafus.
