“Beverage World,” an industry magazine that focuses on the global beverage market with coverage of innovative producers, distributors and marketers, has listed Louisville’s Copper & Kings American Brandy Co. as one of 10 up-and-coming drinks breaking from the pack, according to a press release.
In the June issue (go to page 33) editor Jeff Cioletti interviewed Copper & Kings owner Joe Heron. He lauds Heron for carving out a niche in a “virtually untapped category” and distilling “to the beat of (his) own drummer.”
Copper & Kings has been making a splash in Louisville with its handsome Butchertown facilities, frequent parties and special events in its third floor party room overlooking the downtown skyline, and on the extensive patio, as well as with the variety of products that it has been introducing to the market.
While part of its brandy production is aging in a variety of barrels in the basement, Copper & Kings has also introduced an unaged brandy which is gaining popularity with bartenders as a cocktail liquor, a gin and an absinthe.
