Crave Café & Catering has relocated to Masonic Homes Kentucky’s 82-acre Louisville Campus (3703 Johnson Hall Drive) in Crescent Hill, roughly two miles east of Crave’s longtime digs on Frankfort Avenue.

An information release sketched the cafe’s new configuration.

Crave’s storefront, catering and food trucks will operate from the lower level of The Olmsted (event venue) with a dedicated entrance and designated public parking. The renovated space includes an expanded kitchen area, dining area for patrons and a private dining room for hosted events.

Crave reopened at the new site on February 7, and a ribbon cutting was held on the 15th. According to Crave’s page at Facebook, current hours are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with Saturday hours coming soon (update: regular reader Lynda confirms that Saturday hours have commenced).

The new location adds considerable square footage to Crave’s profile, as noted by owner-operator Shannon Foster.

“I had been thinking about a change for years and Masonic made me a great offer. This is a really exciting opportunity not only for our business and staff, but for my current clientele too. Thanks to Masonic, we will be operating in a space where the kitchen alone is larger than our former location.”

Foster opened Crave Café in 2007, adding the Crave a Go Go and Crave Street Kitchen food trucks in 2016 and 2021, respectively, operated by Foster’s husband and son. Crave is known for sandwiches, salads and a roster of 50 house-made soups in regular rotation.
