On Wednesday, May 15, The Jewish Community Center welcomes world-renowned chef, entrepreneur and humanitarian Michael Solomonov for an intimate night of food, friends and supporting youth programs at The J. Seating is limited to participate in this amazing night, and there are some VIP experiences available. (See below.)
Chef Michael Solomonov is the executive chef and co-owner at Zahav, a modern Israeli restaurant that brings the authentic flavors of Israel’s culture to Philadelphia. In 2017, Solomonov and his partners opened Rooster Soup Company, a crowdfunded restaurant where one hundred percent of the profits benefit Broad Street Hospitality Collaborative, which — among other services — provides over 80,000 meals for the needy in Philadelphia. Solomonov is a four-time James Beard Award winner, including “Outstanding Chef 2017,” “Book of the Year,” and “Best International Cookbook.”
Every year, over 900 children (both Jewish and non-Jewish) participate in programs at The J, including Yachad, an inclusion program that offers campers with special needs the opportunity to fully enjoy the Camp J experience.
The wait list for Yachad continues to increase, and the number of campers on scholarship grows. The proceeds from this event will help give more children opportunities to attend programs such as Yachad, the Early Learning Center, camps, enrichment activities, teen youth groups and more.
Bronze (individual) Tickets are $250 each and include a pre-signed “Israeli Soul: Easy, Essential, Delicious” cookbook by Michael Solomonov and Steven Cook and a hyperlinked logo or name on the website. For more information or to make a purchase, please contact Julie Hollander, email@example.com, 502-238-2796.
(Partnership opportunities are available for individuals and businesses who are interested in purchasing packages that include four to eight seats along with formal recognition. These opportunities can be found at JewishLouisville.org/Chef-Sponsor. Table purchases without recognition are available upon request. )
