Here’s a CM Chicken, and there’s another CM Chicken, but neither of these two “pretenders” is bringing Korean fried chicken to the recently vacated Comfy Cow at 2221 Frankfort Avenue, because it’s actually THIS version of CM Chicken, complete with a disclaimer:

Only official CMC (CM Chicken) locations are listed here – “We do not guarantee nor responsible for those individual stores not listed here who are NOT using Official CM Chicken’s original recipe/sauces by CM Chicken USA.”

Wow. Who knew? Meanwhile the Virginia-based genuine article/chain is aiming for a March opening. In addition to official/original fried chicken, CM Chicken of Louisville will have Korean tikkudak (chicken that’s been fried, then coated and finally baked in a charcoal oven), various street food, shaved ice and the seemingly ubiquitous boba tea.

WDRB has more: Korean fried chicken restaurant planned for Frankfort Avenue’s old Comfy Cow location.
