As of Tuesday morning, La Pana Bakery y Café has reopened at 991 Logan St. (next to the Mexican restaurant Foko) following a move last weekend from its former home, the Logan Street Market.
Strictly speaking, the new location is in a tiny enclave of Smoketown, albeit a few yards from both Shelby Park and Germantown.
Here’s the text from La Pana’s post at Facebook:
We’ve done it and we are ready to serve y’all all the cafecito y pastries! Please join us at mañana at the corner of kentucky and logan (991 Logan St) for a ribbon cutting at 9:30am. We’re so so excited to join the homies @fokolou at this magical corner! Thank you all for the patience and thank you to our community for helping us make this sueñito happen! Vámonos Recio!
And, here’s an introduction (also at Facebook):
With a culinary foundation in the Oaxacan tradition of bread making and inspiration from experiences across Europe and South America’s bakeries, fourth generation baker, Chef Diego Hernandez, brings La Pana Bakery y Cafe to Louisville, KY.
