The restaurant space at Mellwood Arts Center, 1860 Mellwood Ave., has had a steady string of occupants. The newest to try out the space is Danny Mac’s Pizza. A fixture for a decade in Germantown, at 1567 S. Shelby St., the second location on Mellwood hopes to open by late April or May.
The last occupant of the restaurant space at the Arts Center was La Gallo Rosso, which closed in February. The space will need considerable renovations, including new ovens, cosmetic changes, repainting, and reconfiguring the equipment.
The Danny Mac’s Mellwood location will serve lunch and dinner, will offer delivery and a liquor license application is in the works.
