Horseshoe Southern Indiana has started work on the new $2.5 million restaurant, slated to replace the former Legends restaurant according to a news release.
The new eatery, to be called Smoke & Rye, will specialize in gourmet burgers and barbecue.
“Smoke & Rye will provide Greater Louisville the perfect night out,” said John Smith, Regional President and General Manager of Horseshoe in the press release. “It’s unique – live music, gourmet burgers, amazing BBQ and the nation’s largest selection of Bourbon and Rye whiskey found under a single roof including adult milkshakes and specialty bourbon cocktails.”
The quite large (9,600 square-foot) restaurant is expected to open in September 2015 with hiring of 70 positions beginning July 14.
