Shahar Cafe closed its Highlands location in March 2023, but according to Michael L. Jones at Louisville Business First, the plant-based restaurant will reopen in Shelby Park later this year. The target date is November 1.
Shahar is taking over the 3,200-square-foot space at 1127 Logan St. that was previously occupied by The Keswick. Ryan Cohee, the owner of The Keswick and Red Top Hotdogs, is now serving his food out of a food truck located in the back of the Atrium Brewing at 1154 Logan St. Shahar is moving into the building that once housed the old Keswick Democratic Club, a former music venue that hosted popular punk rock shows in the building during the 2000s.
