A spot that helped bring the seltzer trend to Louisville has recently closed. When The Local Seltzery opened its two-story NuLu Marketplace space in late 2021, it was one of the only dedicated seltzeries in the country, the Courier Journal reported at the time.
Additionally, a location of I Love Tacos is expected to open at the former Local Seltzery location, according to a construction permit filed with the city of Louisville. The permit states plans to “install cooking equipment for a new restaurant,” citing I Love Tacos, and that “prior use” was the seltzer bar.
