On Monday, June 22, Tropicuba, 2206 Frankfort Ave, posted this notice on their Facebook page:
“TropiCuba will be temporarily closed as of today, June 22nd, until further notice.”
When I drove by on Saturday, June 27, the restaurant space seemed to be cleared out, and a large “For Sale or Lease” sign was in the window.
Though it opened just a few months ago to generally warm, even enthusiastic notices, TropiCuba now seems to have shut down entirely. No reasons are immediately available.
That location on the corner of Frankfort and Clifton has been the site of 3 different restaurants in the last three years or so.
