The pleasant corner building at 1164 S. 3rd St., on the corner of Oak, has had several incarnations since the Third Avenue Café ended its run a few years ago. The new business there, replacing Barasti Bat & Grill, is now called Vis a Vis Bar & Grill, billed as presenting a Mediterranean and American menu.
New owner Mike Al Muhtaseb and his wife Dima Radwan, who is the chef, serve up all that would be expected and desired from such a menu: hummus, falafel, fried halloumi cheese, burgers, shawarma, kebabs and salads. Hours are 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
