If you haven’t ever had an Art Eatables bourbon truffle, you are missing out, and this Derby season is your limited chance to try a specially created Mint Julep Truffle. They are made in a variety of flavors with an impressive portfolio of bourbons. You can enjoy this truffle all next week when you order Basil Hayden® bourbon (neat or on the rocks) at the Seelbach Hotel, 21C Hotel and Museum, AC Hotels or Merle’s Whiskey Kitchen. This is currently the only way to sample this unique delicacy.

“We wanted to create something special that focused on the season’s signature cocktail, but we also wanted to pair the truffle with a high-quality, flavorful bourbon,” says Art Eatables owner and chocolatier Kelly Ramsey. “We felt like Basil Hayden offered a combination of complex flavor and approachability that was hard to beat.”

The truffle is designed to create the experience of a mint julep when eaten along with the bourbon. The truffles will be available April 29 through May 4.  This is the first of Art Eatable’s planned pairings with local bars.
