Right after the announcement their downtown location is serving breakfast, Taco Luchador has announced the expansion of their Highlands location at 938 Baxter Ave. Earlier this year, owner Olé Hospitality Group took over the space next door at 936 Baxter Avenue to make way for significant enlargement and improvements to the original El Taco Luchador location that opened in 2015.
“Our loyal customers have been clamoring for more room and we’re delighted to finally make it a reality,” said Chef & Co-owner Fernando Martinez. “We’re still in the same location in the Highlands, but we’ve been able to take it to the next level.”
Inside and out, El Taco Luchador Baxter will now be able to seat around 120 – a big improvement over their original capacity to seat 24. There is also now full bar serving the restaurant’s house-made margaritas and sangria as well as cervezas and a few other favorites. They’ve also added an enclosed, heated courtyard called the “Taco Lounge.”
“Over the next few months, we’re going to begin selling our sauces and adding online ordering, starting with this location,” said Martinez.
