A French wine tasting and fundraising party to benefit the Alliance Francaise de Louisville will be held at Majid’s at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26.
Dubbed, “An Evening in Paris,” the event begins with French wines paired with heavy hors d’oeuvre such as salmon tartare with pressed caviar and tomatoes, pork rillettes, chicken liver paté with pistachios and Majid’s pomme frites.
“I’ve always wanted to showcase the French roots and techniques of Mediterranean fare,” Majid Ghavami said in a news release. “Featuring foods and wines from France, this will be a great way to ring in the New Year.”
The event supports the Alliance Française de Louisville (AFL), the region’s premiere French language school and provider of cultural programs
The evening will also feature “A Walk Through Paris” photograph exhibit by noted photographer Dan Dry, and a raffle for bottles of French wine. A signed canvas photo print by Dry will also be auctioned.
Tickets are $75 each. Reserve your seat online by January 21. Call 502-420-0800 for more information.
