Olé Hospitality Group closed Artesano Vino Tapas y Mas in Westport Village at 1321 Herr Ln #130 over the weekend to make way for the group’s newest concept, Steak & Bourbon: An American Grill, which will open May 16.

“We looked at a lot of locations around the city, but we really felt like the Westport Village spot was the best place to do it the right way,”  said Olé co-founder, Chef Fernando Martinez in a press release.  “We have been making a lot of design changes. By mid-May, the space will look totally different.”

The signature dish from Executive Chef Jason Smith will be the 24 oz. Cowboy Cut Ribeye of certified Angus aged a minimum of 30 days from Sherwood Farms and the house-cut Tallow Fries.

Other favorites include the center cut filet, pan roasted chicken and grilled Verlasso salmon, steak & cheese hand pies, S&B Maryland-style crab cakes, chilled jumbo shrimp cocktail and crabmeat deviled eggs.

“The cocktail program is going to obviously be based on Kentucky’s greatest spirit,” said Martinez. “You can expect some great private selections and Olé’s interpretation of the Old Fashioned and the Manhattan, among others.”

Olé has very limited reservations available for their Steak & Bourbon Pop-up at Artesano this week.

“We had such amazing interest when we announced the Steak & Dinner pop-up last month,” said Martinez.  “That kind of sealed the deal to make the change.”

Olé Hospitality Group will also open their fourth El Taco Luchador location in Colonial Gardens this summer and a fifth in Jeffersontown not long after.
