Longtime Crescent Hill down-market favorite Darkstar Tavern has been sold to the owners of Bluegrass Brewing Co.
Darkstar owners will move into the River Road space that used to be Eva Mae’s. There is no definite word yet from BBC about their intentions for the property, but other businesses along Frankfort are looking forward to the building undergoing renovations, and hope that a brewpub concept will materialize. Out in Harrods Creek the Darkstar will have room for more food service, and parking for regulars who would drive a bit to follow their favorite bands.
