A press release Monday announced that Harvest Restaurant, 624 E. Market St., has hired Chef Patrick Roney, most recently at the Oakroom of the Seelbach Hilton, to be the new Executive Chef, to replace Coby Ming, who has re-joined Susan Hershberg’s Wiltshire Pantry organization. Roney will begin December 4, assisted by Chef de Cuisine Matt Staggs.
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Roney has worked in restaurants on the West Coast, and continued his education in international cuisine by working as a chef on private yachts, sailing around the world, cooking from local markets and mastering new techniques.
Roney and his wife have been in Louisville since 2010. The press release said that Roney looks forward to collaborating with Staggs – whose numerous signature Harvest dishes will remain on the menu.
