Writing at LEO Weekly, Kevin Gibson reviews the bill of fare at Virtue Bar & Lounge, which recently relocated to the former Trifecta space at 1971 Brownsboro Road in Clifton.

I perused the menu and was hit by the many sauces and dry rubs Virtue offers for its wings: barbecue, hot barbecue, Buffalo, lemon pepper, lemon pepper Buffalo, Grippo’s — you get the idea. There’s also Accident (a blend of lemon pepper and Grippo’s, literally created by accident) and Henny, with a Hennessy Cognac-based sauce. Because I like it hot, I chose the 911 version.

“They’re real hot,” bartender Nisha warned. I was undeterred.

As Michael L. Jones explains at Louisville Business First, the relocation of Virtue to larger quarters has enabled its owners to increase their kitchen’s profile.

Popular nightclub and hookah lounge moves to Brownsboro Road

(Co-owner Toney Frank) said the new location allowed him to change the business model at Virtue.

“This space allows us to go with the original vision,” he explained. “We wanted to be a restaurant first. With the change in location came a change in the menu. We do about 1,000 pounds of chicken a week. Chicken wings are our niche, but we’ve expanded the menu to feature things like smoked turkey legs that are fall-off-the-bone. And we sell a ton of catfish nuggets.”

Dinner prices at Virtue range from $11 to $19. Frank said he intends to add a drive-thru option to the lounge in the near future.

It appears that Virtue is contemplating lunch hours, but for now, according to the establishment’s Facebook page, hours of operation are daily, 5:00 p.m. to midnight.
