The Spring 2025 issue of Food & Dining Magazine is now available in all the familiar places: Louisville area eateries and food shops, newsstands and online (or read it at issuu).
Reporting at Louisville Business First, Michael L. Jones has the scoop on Jerusalem Kitchen’s prospective return following a little more than a year’s hiatus. The restaurant serves Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. Owner Sami Barghouthi explains his choice of Logan Street Market (1001 Logan Street), and Jones provides the back story.
Restaurant to reopen in Logan Street Market
Jerusalem Kitchen is moving into a food stall that was recently occupied by the vegan restaurant V-Grits, which closed on Dec. 15 after 10 years in business. Barghouthi said he just signed a six-month lease because the fast-causal environment is new to him, but he enjoys not having the overhead associated with fine dining.
“I’ll also have some daily specials, like a steam table. It won’t be a buffet, but it’s a way for people not to wait. This will be on the countertop. It’s not fast food, but food fast,” Barghouthi added.
