If you’re tired of waiting in lines of running cars to see Lights Under Louisville, there are a couple of other pop-up experiences in Louisville to check out.
Adults can enjoy holiday decorations and tastes at Miracle, a pop up holiday bar in the Green Building gallery behind Galaxie bar, 732 E. Market St in Nulu. The bar features Christmas and Hanukkah decorations and serves up holiday themed drinks like a Gingerbread Flip (Bourbon, Gingerbread Syrup, Elemakule Tiki Bitters, Egg, Gingersnap Cookie Crumbs) and old favorites like a Run Run Rudolph (Gin, Mulled Wine Puree, Lemon, Cane Syrup, Prosecco). Miracle will also have fun holiday snacks like Puppy Chow. If you can pull your attention away from the projected holiday films or Christmas Karaoke, you might even notice the particularly amorous naughty (or nice?) reindeer getting their own holiday kicks on the candle holders throughout the bar.(You can also rent Miracle out for your own parties by emailing MiracleOnMarket@gmail.com. If Miracle is too packed, you can also order their holiday drinks at Galaxie, where they are celebrating an atomic space age Christmas.
Open 5 p.m. to midnight Tuesday through Thursday and 5 p.m. to2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday through Christmas Eve.
If you want to do something with the entire family, check out this pop up laser light show in a heated geodesic dome. The laser show is held every thirty minutes at the ‘Holiday Village’ at the base of the Big Four Bridge. The Holiday Village provides food vendors, children’s and adult beverages, Christmas lighting, music, inflatables, and more.
The dome is open Thursday-Sunday through January 1 from 5:30 p.m.to 10 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays, and 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
