Oh, what fun it is to dine in Louisville!
Now “doing lunch” at El Camino: If you haven’t had the chance to dine at El Camino or just couldn’t justify the dinnertime waits of one to two hours, then you’ve got a second opportunity to dive into its savory So-Cal-surf fare.
On Dec. 16, El Camino began serving lunch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. As expected, the lunch menu’s streamlined a bit and prices are modestly adjusted.
Brunch, it appears, is in the offing, and if it’s half as good as the brunch at its sister restaurant, The Silver Dollar, it should be a doozy.
El Taco Luchador opening Dec. 30 or Jan. 1 or somewhere around there: Fernando Martinez, co-owner of the forthcoming El Taco Luchador, told Insider Louisville this week that the Highlands’ first taqueria would open in early January.
Less than a day later, a post was made on the eatery’s Facebook page that opening was set for Dec. 30
A follow-up text to Martinez confirmed some wiggle room remains on the final date, just keep watch of its Facebook page.
Based on the fine fare found at Guaca Mole and Mussel & Burger Bar, the two restaurants Martinez owns with wife, Christina, and cousin, Yaniel, it’s safe to expect great food at good prices.
And probably some long lines. The partnership has produced to smash hits in two years, and one can imagine this one will continue the streak.
