Norton Commons, the “traditional neighborhood” development in the East End, continues to grow its presence on the restaurant scene. The latest addition is Legend of China, a 50-seat Chinese restaurant at 9415 Norton Commons Blvd.
Gary Keefer and his wife Huiqin Luo have opened the new business on the ground floor of the building; they live above it. The restaurant had a soft opening May 13. Until they put together a full staff, the business will be mostly take-out.
Kessler met Luo when he was living in Shanghai. The dishes served in their restaurant are based on Luo’s home-style recipes, using home-made spice blends.
