Let’s begin with full disclosure. I helped open Pints&union in 2018 (114 E. Market St., downtown New Albany) and served as beer director there for five years, until November 2023.
On Thursday, Louisville Business First’s Michael L. Jones offered yet another exclusive scoop: Pints&union will evacuate New Albany for new digs in the Highlands (1576 Bardstown Rd.), with the move expected to occur by Thanksgiving 2024.

Joe Phillips, owner of Pints & Union, said his business will move from its current location at 114 E. Market St. in New Albany to 1576 Bardstown Road by Thanksgiving weekend. He plans on operating in New Albany, where Pints & Union is leasing space, until Nov. 15.
The more than 2,500-square-foot Highlands building was previously occupied by Against the Grain’s Public House, which closed last month. Prior to that, the property was Cumberland Brews for nearly 20 years.
