The Summer 2023 issue of Food & Dining Magazine — our 20th Anniversary issue — is now available in all the familiar places: Louisville area eateries and food shops, newsstands and online.

Ever since June 11, when F&D received a “farewell” email from CC’s Kitchen at its Marketplace on Theater Square location, we’ve been monitoring this latest chapter in an ongoing food, dining and theatrical production.

It’s a ‘sequins and goodbyes’ kinda weekend at CC’s Kitchen, because after serving you the sassiest drag brunch in Kentucky, we’re preparing for our next big gig – and it’s not where you think!

After this weekend’s sparkling performances and scrumptious servings, we’re turning off the stage lights and packing our glitter. But don’t fret, it’s not a ‘sashay away’ moment, it’s more of a ‘sashay to a new runway’ moment!

“But where oh where could this magical new runway be?” we hear you cry! Well, we’re keeping that a secret tighter than a drag queen’s corset – for now. What we CAN tell you is we’ll continue to serve our fabulous brunch and electrifying shows that are as deliciously enticing as our famous chicken and waffles!

One month later, the full reveal is here: Somewhere by CC, coming this weekend to 1135 Bardstown Road, which until now was somewhere else (from 2015: Somewhere Restaurant to join Nowhere Bar), and if this isn’t already too confusing, let’s hand the mic to CC’s for an introduction in the venue’s own inimitable style.

🎉 BIG NEWS, everyone! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that our grand opening weekend at “Somewhere by CC” is right around the corner on July 15th and 16th, featuring our famous drag brunches! 🥂🌈

You’re invited to be among the first to experience our fresh new venue while enjoying some fabulous entertainment. The stunning Nicole Jackson Valentino will be our hostess both days, leading a dazzling lineup of performers. 💃🎤

On Saturday, get ready for the dazzling talents of Tia Mirage Hall, Monika Monae, Vincent Debaute, and Chablis Dupree. Sunday’s brunch brings you even more sparkle with Poly Tics, Uhstel Valentine, Jezabella, and Bad Berto Baby lighting up the stage. 🌟👑

We’ll be hosting two shows each day at 11 AM and 1 PM. Please note, these shows are for ages 21 and up. But don’t worry, we’re planning to add all-ages shows to our schedule soon! 🥳

We’re starting this new chapter with a renewed spirit of fun, hope, and positivity. Not only will you be treated to our famous drag brunches, but you’ll also get a taste of our updated menu that we’ll be unveiling very soon. 🍽️🎉
