The Spring 2025 issue of Food & Dining Magazine is now available in all the familiar places: Louisville area eateries and food shops, newsstands and online (or read it at issuu).

Louisville welcomes the “Original Dirty Soda” chain, this hitherto unknown beverage being a creation traceable to Utah, and a desire to avoid alcohol and caffeine by artfully combining soda, coffee creamer, and flavored syrups. Pretzels and cookies, too — F & D’s listing

Swig‘s “dirty sodas” made their first Louisville area appearance recently at 3009 Poplar Level Rd. According to Louisville Business First’s David A. Mann, “the soda scene is hot,” and accordingly there’ll be another Swig in Jeffersonville at 4014 E 10th St., just a short distance south of the dual multi-lane roundabouts that SoIN residents still denigrate almost a decade after their advent.

Swig expands in Louisville area with new Jeffersonville drive-thru soda shop

Swig got its start in 2010 in St. George, Utah, according to its LinkedIn page. Founder Nicole Tanner was brainstorming one night about possible business ideas. After settling on a drive-by drink shop she opened the first location across the street from Dixie State University, in St. George, Utah, in April of 2010. Swig has since expanded into multiple states.
