Tuesday, April 25 at 5:30 p.m., Dare to Care will host the 30th iteration of its popular fundraiser, the Taste of Derby Festival. Over 40 restaurants and 20 local distilleries and beverage companies will serve up generous samples of their wares in the Louisville Slugger Hall of Fame Pavilion at Louisville Slugger Field.
The food and drink sampling, and a silent auction will benefit the Dare to Care Food Bank, which provides nutritional support for those in need in the Louisville area. Dare to Care partners with over 300 local social service agencies, such as food pantries, shelters and emergency kitchens to distribute food to those in need in the community. In the past year, Dare to Care and its partners provided over 16 million meals.
Dare to Care also fights hunger through programs targeting the most vulnerable for food security. These programs include Kids Cafe, Backpack Buddy, Mobile Pantry, Cooking Matters, and a variety of initiatives to reach senior citizens.
Tickets are sold only in advance for $80, available at tasteofderbyfestival.org
