It has been three months since much loved Chef Dean “Deano” Corbett passed away, leaving his wife and three sons, but his many friends and fans have been working during that time to set up a tribute dinner to raise funds for his family. The Chef was known for his kindness and has helped to raise millions of dollars over the years for many good causes, and now the kindness comes full circle. “A Taste of Corbett” will be at the Olmstead from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on February 20. The tickets are $100 per person and go on sale Thursday January 17th at 9 a.m. at www.atasteofcorbetts.com
The event will feature over 50 of Louisville’s finest Louisville chefs (listed and updated daily at the web site), and a number of the dishes are going to be some of Dean’s dishes from his restaurants. Since he mentored so many across Louisville, there will also be many original dishes inspired by his impact on the chefs’ careers.
There is also an opportunity to donate directly to the family online if you can’t make it to the event.
