THE LOCAL: In a rare instance of editorial agreement, the entire F&D staff is in agreement that when it comes to fried chicken there is a new Best-In-Town.

Yes, it is none other than Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken, which began at a family-owned outlet in tiny Mason, Tennessee, and has established a presence in the East End at 117 S. Hurstbourne Parkway. Marty explains the secret behind Gus’s success, and while the digital editor actually abstained from the staff vote, Marty says so, that’s plenty good enough for me.
