Watch Hill Proper, the planet’s largest American whiskey bar, presents its inaugural American Whiskey Festival on Saturday, August 26.

The fest takes place outside and in front of Watch Hill Proper, proper, at or near 11201 River Beauty Loop, Norton Commons from 3:00 p.m. until 10 p.m. There’ll be a stage area with music (free to all ages) as well as a tented “Whiskey Garden,” where tickets cost $35. A VIP experience is available for $150, with tickets available here.

According to an information release, featured distilleries include Wilderness Trail, BR Distilling, Peerless, RD1, Heaven’s Door, Barrell Craft Spirits, Broken Barrel, Four Gate, Old Louisville Whiskey Co. and others.

Scheduled musical acts are Radiotronic, Sweet G & The Shine, Billy Lord, Drew Crawley, and the Derby City Dandies.

The release did not indicate whether the American Whiskey Festival will adere to Watch Hill Proper’s foundational maxim of “Nothing foreign, nothing clear, and no beer.” However, the proximity of Atrium Brewing’s Norton Commons Taproom is duly noted.
