Monday, Jan 26, at 7 p.m. Garage Bar, 700 E. Market St., will be the site of the first ever Louisville BOH Brawl, a cooking competition open to the best of Louisville’s professional chefs.
The open invitation, Iron Chef -style cooking competition for food service professionals will pit six chefs, chosen by lottery, in three rounds of cooking competition. The first and second round will have three cooks each. The third round will be the winners from the first two. All participants will have their cover fee waived and the winner will receive $100.00 cash and a bottle of Old Forester courtesy of Republic National Distributing Company.
The Garage Bar’s kitchen will serve a limited menu of hot dogs and hamburgers, along with cocktails, beer and drink specials.
This event is open to the public with a $10.00 cover at the door. A portion of proceeds will go to benefit NewRoots, a non-profit group committed to making fresh, affordable food available to our communities.
