Brace yourselves: the French language is afoot in Clifton — but wait, haven’t we all been here before?
Edibles & Potables: Cuisine Nissarde — or, what to eat in Nice during Carnaval
Given that one undisputed highlight of 2024 was our late winter visit to Nice (cover photo), count me among those intrigued with Laurent and Cassandra Farina’s plans for Ça et Là (“here and there”).
The French Riviera is powerful medicine, indeed, and lives up to the headlines. Even a sliver of it hereabouts can be expected to expand Louisville’s culinary boundaries, and I’ll even drink Kronenbourg, if it comes to that (see below).
Our old friend Michael L. Jones yet again has the scoop at Louisville Business First.
Couple to open French bistro in Clifton
Ça et Là, which means “Here and There” in French, will be located at 1832 Frankfort Ave., near the American Printing House for the Blind. The new business will blend café culture, artisan imports, and affordable Southern French street foods, petits plats, and wines.
Ça et Là is being launched by the husband-and-wife duo of Laurent and Cassandra Farina. Cassandra said their goal is to transport local patrons to the South of France with dishes rooted in tradition and paired with the Mediterranean ambience of the French Riviera.
