Dasha Barbours Southern Bistro will depart its current location in Buechel (2217 Steier Lane) in late March and move to 217 E. Main Street (the former Celtic Pig) for a projected reopening on April 15.

The eatery posted this video at its website.

The restaurant’s owners are Aaron and Tumeka “Dasha” Barbour, and as usual, Michael L. Jones has the rest of the story at Louisville Business First.

Dasha Barbours is relocating to Downtown Louisvlle

Dasha Barbours is know for its Southern comfort food like fried catfish, pork chops, sweet potato casserole, fried green tomatoes and mac and cheese. Barbour said the menu at the new location will feature popular dishes from the older restaurant, but it will be expanded to include an assortment of healthier, non-fried options too.

The Downtown location will also have upstairs and downstairs dining rooms and a full bar…”This is the restaurant we imagined when we started out in the business,” (Aaron) Barbour said.

According to Jones, the new Dasha Barbours will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays, and 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
