The Summer Guest Chef Series at Decade Restaurant (1076 E. Washington St.) continues with Chef Kathy Cary for a two night engagement on Wednesday, July 24th and Thursday, July 25th.

Cary is the former chef/owner of Louisville’s legendary Lilly’s Bistro, and a seven-time James Beard Award finalist for Best Chef: Southeast. An information release provides the details:

For the two evenings, Chef Cary will offer a special 3-course, pre-fixe menu featuring her beloved cooking with in-season produce and peak summer flavors. Tickets are $80 a person. An optional wine pairing will be available. Tickets can be purchased through Decade’s reservation system here, or by calling the restaurant directly: (502) 749-0110. The initial date (July 25th) has almost sold out, except for a few early slots, so the July 24th date has been added.

In F & D’s Fall 2023 edition, Cary Stemle interviewed Andy Myers, Matt Johnson and Chad Sheffield, who re-evaluated their experiences at Decca and opened Decade (where Butchertown Grocery and Blind Pig used to be).

PROFILE – Decade: When the distinguished NuLu restaurant Decca shut down last year, three veteran Deccans with a shared passion for excellence set out to keep the vibe alive just a few blocks away in Butchertown.
