Apron Inc. will present the 7th Annual Dine-Around event on Wednesday, February 27th, featuring a cross section of Louisville restaurants who will donate a portion of their profits that day. Pick a spot from the list below to have breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, and it will help Apron Inc serve hospitality industry workers who fall on hard times.
The mission of Apron Inc. is to provide temporary, limited financial aid to professionals in need who work in local owned restaurants and locally run food and beverage industry-based establishments in the Louisville Metro area. Clients have either experienced financial distress due to an illness, injury or other life hardships needing financial relief; the funds raised at ALL Apron Inc. events go directly to locals in need of this support. Since 2016, the organization has been able to give more than $150,000 in grants, including a special fund for workers put out of their workplaces due to spring flooding, thanks to community support.
Chef Ellen Gill McCarty, Gill on the Go states, “I am so excited to participate in another great Apron fundraising event. Dine-Around not only allows you to eat at some great restaurants, but you also get to help support a great organization which helps so many in the hospitality industry, said Gill on the Go Chef Ellen Gill McCarty. “I should know firsthand since Apron helped me in 2014 after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I was overwhelmed with financial difficulties; their support help ease the stress.”
