The promotional group 502 Foodie has organized another 502 Restaurant week, running from Monday, Sept. 12 through Friday, Sept. 23 (which makes for a rather long week, but…hey!). The premise of these events is for participating restaurants to offer a prix fixe meal (502 Lunch Week will offer 2 courses, including a beverage, for $10 or $15, depending on the scale of the restaurant) in order to show off the range of their kitchens’ talents.
This is the fourth year for the promotion, an event that seems to be popular with the public and with the restaurants. It is a chance for diners to test out new places, or places they have been wanting to try, but needed the incentive of the special priced meal to make the effort.
The process is easy: go to the participating restaurant, say that you want to try to 502 special menu, and make your choices from what is offered. Most restaurants will offer a choice of three appetizers and entrees and a soft drink for the set price. The specials will be available on weekends as well as during the week.
