EarthSave Louisville works to educate the community on vegan cooking and options, and their monthly free cooking class will be January 13 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. This primer on vegan pot pies by Nate Pederson will be at Crescent Hill Ministries, 150 States Street, on the corner of Frankfort Avenue and State Street. Their website says, “This class is to demonstrate fairly easy, healthy, practical, and mind-expanding concepts.”
You will learn about some central aspects of food like cost, ease of preparation, storage, and nutrition. Our instructor will show and tell the ways to make ideas into habit, to make virtue into reality, to make Goodness on a plate. Tell us you’re coming to this free event by contacting us: 502.299.9520 or louisville@earthsave.org
The monthly EarthSave potluck will be immediately afterwards at 6 p.m. The potluck is open to the public, but first timers require an invitation, which you can call 502 299 9520 to acquire.
Bring a plant-laden dish (cooked or raw) , your recipe to share, and your own utensils/plates. The potluck is followed by a Vegan-centric presentation at 7 p.m. and then music and mingling at 8 p.m. Visit their event listing for more information.
