The “natural progression” that Grind food truck owners Liz and Jesse Huot had been working toward for the last three years will come to fruition when they open Grind Burger Kitchen at 3311 Preston Hwy., near the Kentucky Exposition Center.
Their peregrinations around the city serving up gourmet burgers have won them a devoted following. Those food truck fans should not despair, though. The Huots plan to continue serving from their mobile kitchen at events around town too.
Settling down in a building will allow them to expand their repertoire a bit, with vegetarian options and fries. Before they can begin cooking in their new digs, renovations are in order—the prior occupant was Oasis Sushi and Soul Karaoke Lounge. They are shooting for an opening soon after Derby, with a soft opening to honor their food truck regulars in early May.
